As mentioned in class, Russia is moving
forward with the prosecution of Greenpeace activists for piracy. But it was
announced today that the Netherlands is bringing a claim against Russia in the international tribunal under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, for violating international law in seizing the Greenpeace ship, which was sailing under a Dutch flag.
